The WNCP mathematics team, in consultation with the WNCP Directors and Assistant Deputy Ministers, has made a change to the review process used to evaluate resources submitted to the WNCP Call for Resources for K-9 Mathematics.

• The WNCP mathematics consultants will do a first-cut and in-depth review of the resources submitted for grades 2, 5 and 8 on January 7-10, 2008.
• The teacher review team will do an in-depth review of the resources on January 14 – 18, 2008. Based on the results of these two reviews, the WNCP mathematics consultants will make recommendations to the WNCP Directors as to which resources should be authorized.
• These final decisions will be made on January 22-24 through both teleconference and face-to-face meetings.

We are asking publishers to submit 9 copies of each resource, one for each of the 7 jurisdictions plus two for the teacher review team, submitted for review to the WNCP Resource Review for grades 2, 5 and 8. Please note, we require only 1 copy of the blank sample, or dummy book, that indicates the exact binding, type of paper and dimensions of the finished product.
